It is honestly a little impressive how many times Maddie Eastman tried to convince the internet that everybody else was the problem while more screenshots, stories, allegations, and eventually actual criminal charges kept attaching themselves to her name like unpaid invoices.

For people unfamiliar with her before all of this, Maddie was a dog trainer in New England running a business called Lunar Canine. Online, her pages looked relatively normal. Dogs in training, client posts, personal dogs, relationship content, everyday life. The standard formula most trainers use while building their business and online presence.

Around 2023, Maddie started dating Christian Duran (we will get to that gem next) after he moved from Texas to be with her. For a while, everything appeared relatively normal publicly until the relationship fell apart and things started getting very public very quickly. Allegations involving cheating surfaced first, followed later by abuse allegations from both sides after videos connected to the relationship began circulating online.

At first, most people treated it like messy relationship drama that should have stayed between the two of them.

Then people started talking.

Former clients began publicly sharing experiences involving dogs allegedly returning home underweight. Anonymous allegations about excessive crating and poor conditions started circulating online. Multiple people described the property as smelling heavily of urine and feces. Others claimed they had concerns about Maddie’s handling of dogs long before criminal charges were ever filed. And once those conversations started, they spread fast.

Then the German Shepherd videos surfaced.

The videos allegedly showed Maddie striking two German Shepherds she was training with a PVC pipe while screaming at them during what appeared to be a training session. Once those clips hit Facebook, there was really no containing the situation anymore.

And that was the moment this stopped being contained to relationship fallout and turned into something much bigger online. Because regardless of where people stood on literally anything else surrounding Maddie, most people watching those videos felt they were extremely difficult to explain away.

The backlash escalated almost immediately. Former clients continued speaking publicly. Screenshots spread everywhere. Facebook groups became unusable. Maddie publicly described much of the backlash as lies, harassment, obsession, and coordinated attacks against her while other people argued the videos spoke for themselves.

Then criminal charges followed.

In January 2026, Maddie Eastman was charged with two counts of animal cruelty connected to the investigation. The case later ended in dismissal without prejudice (aka total garbage), which somehow only made people angrier because for a lot of people watching, it felt less like accountability and more like multiple dogs and owners had simply been failed publicly while everyone else was expected to move on.

But instead of letting the conversation and hear, the people have decided to keep talking.

Because regardless of how anyone personally feels about Maddie Eastman, people searching her name deserve to see the allegations, the videos, the charges, the public responses, and the timeline for themselves before deciding whether they want to hand their dogs over to her or Lunar Canine or any of her other various business names
